     Steve Bradley has more than 20 years experience as a small business owner, operating a variety of foodservice operations, including wholesale, fast food, catering and full service restaurants. After leaving the foodservice business, he used his small business accounting and computer experience to launch Bradley Enterprises about 13 years ago.

     Since then, he has worked with a variety of industries, including legal firms, medical firms, retailers, manufacturers, distributors and auto repair shops to set up accounting systems with Quickbooks and customize programs such as Word, Excel and Timeslips.

     Steve is a Quickbooks Certified Advanced ProAdvisor, a Quickbooks Enterprise Solutions Certified ProAdvisor and a Certified SleeterGroup Quickbooks Consultant. He provides Quickbooks set-up and training, monthly and quarterly Quickbooks tuneups and assistance setting up and fine-tuning third-party software solutions to work with Quickbooks.     I have created a spreed sheet in excel that i would like to import into Quickbooks Pro 2011, but being a new user to the quickbooks world i am not sure on how to do that and if it is even possible. I could realy use a little help because i do not want to have to retype all the information.

      The short answer is – Yes, you can bing data from an Excel sheet into Quickbooks. Depending on the type of information you’re trying to bring into Quickbooks, this can either be done directly within Qucikbooks or using a third party software program. If you’re importing list data (customers, vendors, etc.), Quickbooks 2011 supports multiple entries for lists that you can copy & paste to. If you’re importing transactions (invoices, bills, checks, etc.), I can recommend a software program that can be used for the import.
